Friday, 14/03/2025 / 06:00 PM - 07:30 PM / Ludwigsluster Schlosscafé
Karoline Luise, born in 1786 as the daughter of the "Goethe Duke" Karl August of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach, enjoyed an excellent education. Her teachers included Herder, she corresponded with Goethe and was a close friend of Schiller's wife. In 1810, she married the hereditary prince of Mecklenburg, Friedrich Ludwig, and moved to Ludwigslust. However, her companion Henriette von Knebel found the artistic and intellectual life at the ducal court here to be expandable.
