"In wind and weather. Hiddensee in words and pictures" - book reading with digital picture show in the Schwerin grinding mill

A tribute to the beauty of Hiddensee

Hiddensee - time and again, this island casts a spell over nature lovers, painters, poets and writers. This is also the case for 16 artists from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, who regularly travel here with paint, pencil or canvas, and who have now recorded their impressions in the book "Bei Wind und Wetter. Hiddensee in words and pictures". On April 29, 2025 at 6 pm, the Schwerin Schleifmühle invites you to a reading with a digital picture show. Erika Hartung, who is responsible for the publication of this book, is one of the authors who will read about their personal feelings and encounters with nature and people in entertaining texts on this evening. Margret Schmal, who is showing a small selection of her works in an exhibition at the Schleifmühle until the end of May, will also have her say.

Due to the limited number of seats, tickets for 9.00 euros are only available in advance at the Schleifmühle Schwerin box office, daily from 9 am to 5 pm.
