City Walks
Hamburgs einzige Störtebeker-Tour
Saturday, 18/10/2025 / 05:00 PM - 07:00 PM / Treffpunkt: Hohe Brücke 2
- queer friendly
- 24.00€
Join us in the footsteps of the North's most famous privateer: stories spanning 600 years of Hamburg's history, from Störtebeker's birth to his execution. From the Old Town to HafenCity. From fires to flood protection measures; from barges to the Elbphilharmonie – Klaus Störtebeker's life will be our central theme.
Our route takes us past some of the city's oldest buildings and to a long-forgotten burial site. We report on what is probably the city's most publicly displayed token of love, on piracy and betrayal—and we search for and find Störtebecker's treasure!
- Where do seven sisters stand in the mud twice a day?
- What does the Semperoper have in common with St. Nikolai?
- What did Störtebeker offer for his release?
- Where does an Everyman appear when no one can live?
You'll find out. This and much more.
We walk through Hamburg's old town to the historic Speicherstadt - the place of execution.
