Hortus is the Latin word for garden. The offers with the title "Garden knowledge @hortus" take place as face-to-face events in the botanical special garden.

Trees can be found everywhere, on streets, in gardens and parks and of course in the forest. But who still knows the names of the trees in front of their own front door? This tour is aimed at people who want to acquire or refresh their knowledge of wood. The names as well as simple identification and distinguishing features of the most important trees are presented. Historical information complements the botanical part during the tour.
This offer takes place regularly. Reference is made to the special features of the corresponding season!
By the way: April 25th is "Arbor Day"
The tour takes place in the outdoor area of the Wandsbek Botanical Special Garden at Walddörferstraße 273.
A donation of two euros per person is requested (children free).
