As part of the "art & friends" exhibition series, photos by Christer Almqvist and photographic graphics by Wolf Art on the theme of "LANDSCHAFT. Controversial approaches" will be shown.
The two artists approach this timelessly topical subject with very different intentions, perspectives and techniques. In addition to the convincing quality of each individual exhibit, the exhibition thrives on the contrasts between the presentation of b/w photos versus color photo-graphics. The photographer Christer Almqvist is a purist. For him, the motif, the detail that he has carefully selected and photographed with his pinhole camera, classic or digital camera, is set and cannot be changed. Light and shadow give depth. The landscapes are reduced to the essentials.
For Wolf Art, the photographically captured motif is the starting material for creative experiments and transformations using various digital techniques. This results in photographic graphics with hybrid fantasy landscapes. Collage effects provide depth. It is about archetypes of landscape.
