A summer with the stork family

Just imagine: A warm spring day in Welzin. A pair of storks land high up on an old nest - back from the south, ready for a new breeding season. A sight that is still something special here in Klützer Winkel.
This nest, which has served as a nursery for white storks for years, was lovingly renovated at the beginning of 2024 - and equipped with a camera. Suddenly, what is otherwise hidden from our view at lofty heights becomes visible: the first tentative beak rattling, the busy feeding, the growth and prosperity of the chicks.
From the first weeks of spring to the great take-off in August, Erich Jöckel was able to experience with his own eyes how fascinating the life of these majestic birds is. Now he would like to take us on a journey through this special time - full of touching, exciting and surprising moments.
